Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost to book the band?
High Rollers offer a polished and professional performance at very competitive prices. No two events are ever the same and as such it is difficult to give prices without knowing the full details. You can be sure however of excellent value for money, without the worry of additional agency fees and never any hidden extra costs. We can offer a full quote from the information we receive on our Get a Quote tab of this website.
Where will you play?
We will play anywhere you want us to! Please bear in mind though that additional costs may be incurred for any long distance travel. Should this be the case it will be included in your initial quote.
Can we see you play before we book?
If you would like to come and watch the band before making a decision we would be more than happy for you to come along to one of our public performances to come and meet the band and see first hand what we do! Please have a look at our gigs page for a list of all upcoming performances which you could attend.
Will the band need a PA or special lighting?
In most instances the band's own PA & lighting is perfectly adequate, however in special cases additional equipment may need to be hired at an extra cost (this is rare – we are yet to see an event where our own gear has not met requirements, including large marquees/halls and outdoor events!!).
Do you take song requests?
We are happy to accommodate, as much as we can, your selection of songs from our current repertoire and we do offer the service (weddings only) to perform your choice of first dance within reason, free of charge, provided we are given enough notice to learn the song. If there are any songs not in our current repertoire that you would like to hear it may be possible for us to learn it for you, however this would incur additional costs on a per-song basis to cover the cost of the rehearsal time needed for us to do this.
How much space do you need?
We are a 4 piece band and ideally require an approximate performance area of 4 x 4 meters with a minimum of 4 electrical points. If there is less space than this available at your chosen venue we may still be able to play but please mention this when booking as this could affect the equipment we bring with us on the night.
How long does it take you to set up?
Usually we require around an hour to set up the backline, PA system & lighting and sound check, this is based on a venue with good, straight forward access to the performance area (it will likely take us longer if we have to go up/down stairs or a long distance from vehicle access etc). We will then require approximately 20-25 minutes to get changed and ready for the performance.
How long are your sets?
We are very flexible with time structures and happy to work with whatever evening plan you may have. Usually we will play 2 x 45min sets or 3 x 30min sets, however this can often change on the night and we are more than happy to adjust our sets if necessary.
Will I also need to hire a DJ?
We have the facility to offer you a DJ for your event at a discounted cost to what you would normally pay. As we use the same sound system & lighting, we can offer excellent rates for DJ sets for the night while the band is not playing. Please mention this on your quotation form so we can adjust your quote respectively. Within the DJ sets we can incorporate any style/genre of music you would like, and we'll be more than happy to take requests/make announcements etc on the night!
Can you play some music in-between your sets?
At no extra charge we can provide a set playlist of popular music before/after/in-between the band sets if requested. Alternatively, if you have a laptop or iPod with a playlist of your own music you would like played we can also accommodate this on the day, but again, please make this clear when booking so we can ensure we have all the right cables.
Okay, so how do I book the band now?
The best way to book the band is to fill out the quotation form on the Get a Quote tab, we will then do our best to get back to you as soon as possible to confirm the date is available, and with an official quote for the services requested.
